Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport - Mto wa Mbu

Arrive at Arusha or Kilimannjaro Airport, meet your guide and driveto our main office for briefing and logistics, then after that drive to Manyara for Dinner and overnight at Nsya Campsite.

Note: Try to arrive to Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport at least 3 pm (EAT) latest.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park Full Day

In the morning you will be picked from your hotel and dive to Tarangire National Park for game viewing the Giant baobab trees, bush savannah and the seasonal marshes add to the wonder of this nature reserve. The Tarangire National Park is considered as one of the best places to view elephants up close, not only because there are thousands of animals but also because they are not disturbed by the presence of vehicles. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions, Leopard, and cheetah late in the evening drive back to Nsya Camp for Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Following breakfast transfer to Lake Manyara National Park. There is a profusion of wildlife in this small national park, and the amazing bird watching experience will certainly be rewarding to both a devote and first-time bird watcher.

It is as well among the few places on the African continent to see the tree-climbing lions that will be your main quest for the day. Manyara in addition prides in a large flock of beautiful pink flamingoes found near no the lake. You will have lunch at picnic site.

Dinner and overnight at Nsya Campsite.

Day 4: Manyara - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will travel via the cooler highlands towards the southern Serengeti and at mid-day you will reach the plains of the Serengeti plains. This park is the oldest and famous in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes – short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called kopjes dot the grassy landscape where predators are often seen. The Serengeti is famous for the yearly migration when hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras trek to find fresh grass and water, game viewing is good year around with great sighting of lions, cheetah leopard, hippos, and giraffe in the evening drive to Nguchiro Campsite, Seronera for Dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - 6: Serengeti National Park Full Day

The entire two days is dedicated to game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. The areas that you visit will depend upon where the migrating herds are. Predators usually follow closely behind the trekking animals and include lions, leopards (in the acacia trees) and cheetahs. During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June they return to the central part of the park. As the migration is completely dependent on the yearly rainfalls, the location of the herds may vary from year to year but your guide will know where to locate the animals and where to see them best. You will spend another two nights at Nguchiro Campsite, Seronera.

Day 7: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Conservation Authority

After breakfast we will have more morning drive in the outer part of central Serengeti trying to look for more cats and hunting predators. The plains have kopjes which offer good places for Lions and Leopards to breed while the valleys offer great wallowing and drinking areas for big herds of Elephants, Dinner and overnight at Simba Camp.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater - Lake Eyasi

After a very early breakfast leave the camp and descend down to the eighth wonder with possibly the largest permanent concentration of wildlife in Africa, with an estimate average of 30,000 large mammals. In addition, this is one of the best reserves in Africa to see Black Rhino. Other sightings include Lions, Hyenas, Jackals, Hippos, Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeest, after lunch drive to Lake Eyasi for Dinner and overnight at Eyasi Campsite.

Day 9: Lake Eyasi Full Day

After breakfast, a true African experience awaits. You will visit the Hadzabe, an ethnic minority and one of Tanzania’s last hunter-gatherer tribes. They have managed to maintain their traditional lifestyle until this day in this dry and mostly barren area. Thereafter you will pay a visit to the pastoral nomads and herdsmen, known as the Datoga tribe. The experience is completed with a stop at the blacksmiths where you will witness craftsmen in rather rudimentary working conditions. After this interactive cultural experience you will then drive back to your Camp for Dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Lake Eyasi - Local Lunch - Arusha - Depart

Immerse yourself in the local culture during this cultural tour Mto wa Mbu. A local guide will walk with you through the streets of this African farming village, surrounded by beautiful nature. During this tour you visit an African school, church, market and banana brewery. A great way to get an insight in the daily life of local people. This activity will take about 2 hours. A part of the money will go to the local community. After local lunch, drive back to Arusha, drop off Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro Airport. End of Service!
