Travel Itinerary

Day 1:

Arusha Town to Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.
Then the heart of the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park, where you might see elephants, lions, hippos, giraffes, and buffaloes to mention a few. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp. Main Destination: Serengeti National Park Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner Accommodation: Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp

Day 2:

Exploring the Serengeti National Park

We have the full day to explore the Serengeti taking a packed lunch with us so that we can make the most of our game viewing. The area is a spectacular location for wildlife, particularly the big cats with multiple lions’ pride in the area. Cheetahs and leopards are regularly spotted in the area along with the variety of more common Savannah games.
Even when the great wildebeest migration is not around the central part game viewing is great throughout the year, apart from the big cats the area is also home to giraffes, hippos, elephants, impala, buffalos, and a good number of birds species which can make your day busy as you are trying to look for that elusive leopard. In the early evening, we return to camp to enjoy the sunset. Main Destination: Serengeti National Park Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Accommodation: Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha Town

Explore the crater floor. Leave the Rhino lodge very early in the morning, and through the Ngorongoro Conservation before descending, 610 meters down to the grasslands of the crater floor, an area of about 265 square kilometers. Despite its small size, the Crater is a Big 5 country and the openness of the terrain means easy and rewarding game viewing. You will spend the day exploring the crater floor, stopping to picnic on the grasslands amidst the grazing herds. Formed by a massive volcanic eruption, the world’s largest intact and un-flooded caldera provides a year-round home to an astonishing 25,000 large mammals including black rhino, wildebeest, and zebra along with Africa’s densest concentrations of hyena. The Crater’s forests shelter elephants and buffalo, its wetlands are home to hippos and flamingos while lions, jackals, leopards, and caracals make up the full range of predators. Late afternoon leaves the crater behind and drives back to Arusha and you will be dropped at Kilimanjaro international airport. Frequently Asked Questions

Let’s clarify your confusions. Here are some of the Frequently Asked Questions which most of our client asks.

Have a question in mind

Looking for more info? Send a question to the property to find out more.

HOW BIG ARE YOUR GROUPS ON A SAFARI?

Our 4-wheel drive safari vehicles offer a comfortable place for six people in the rear, and in front, you have your guide. So we can take up to 6 people on a safari. If your group has more people we will schedule additional vehicles.

WHAT CLOTHES SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

You don’t need to be smartly dressed on safari. The most important thing is to be comfortably and practically dressed. Safari colors – green, khaki, brown, or grey are really useful because white, red, and other bright colors might scare away wildlife! Some ladies may want to consider packing a sports bra as the roads are bumpy. Open sandals or other comfortable shoes may be useful to wear in the car when it is hot.

CAN WE GO ON SAFARI ONLY THE TWO OF US?

Of course, you can go on your own private safari, together with your driver/guide. In fact, most of our safaris are privately organized. The price however depends on the number of people on safari.

CAN I PAY WITH CREDIT CARD?

Yes, payment can be done on a credit card (Visa – MasterCard – American Express). With credit card payments, there is a 5% surcharge. The best is still to bring cash in USD. You’ll get the best exchange rates for 50 and 100 USD notes. Also make sure not to bring USD notes less than 2006, as these are not accepted anymore in Tanzania.
